Sakshi Babar

About

Sakshi is a 3rd year Marketing Ph.D. candidate at the University of Georgia. Her research interests include climate marketing strategies, marketing-finance interface, and business-to-business marketing. Her current research focuses on identifying marketing strategies centered around climate change and how these affect firm's market performance and customer response. Methodologically, she uses panel data econometrics and deep learning models. Sakshi has been named an ISBM Doctoral Fellow and is the recipient of the 2022 ISBM Doctoral Support Award and the 2023 EMAC-Sheth Sustainability Grant Award. Prior to joining UGA, she worked as a software developer for Verizon and as a marketing strategy manager for refurbished/ repair business for Cummins in India. Sakshi holds a B.Tech. in Computer Science from National Institute of Technology Hamirpur and an M.B.A. from Indian Institute of Management Udaipur.
