Boas Bamberger

About

Boas Bamberger is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Cologne’s Marketing Area since 2024. He earned his doctoral degree from the University of Mannheim in 2021 and holds degrees in management (MSc) and psychology (BSc). Studies took him to Harvard University, the University of Groningen, and the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, among others. His dissertation earned several research awards, including the 2022 Wolfgang Ritter Prize, Südwestmetall Prize, Bojanovsky Foundation Prize, and University of Mannheim’s Marketing Foundation Prize.

Boas conducts research on marketing strategy, sales management and performance, entrepreneurial marketing, the impact of public policy on markets, and market emergence. He regularly presents his work at academic marketing conferences and has been published in the Journal of Marketing and practice-oriented publications. Since 2020, Boas has served as a committee member of the prestigious German Academic Scholarship Foundation, awarding scholarships to exceptional students.

Beyond his academic experience, Boas has founded and led two successful tech start-ups, raised venture capital, and earned several innovation awards. He continues to advise several tech start-ups. Boas also served as a senior strategist in the CEO unit of several corporates. His experience spans various industries, including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, wholesale, insurance, automotive, advertising, and IT.
